Doreen, this is the first time I've seen this site or pictures of your beautiful sister Sharron.
I will continue to pray for your family that this horrible murder is punished for his crime.

I remember our friends were going to the Grace Church dance the night she went missing. Every Easter, I think of Sharon.

What a beautiful site, what awful events! I remember my brother Brian and all us teens searching the streets for Sharron. the Point was like that then. When my sister got lost everyone was out in five minutes.I remember Yvonne sitting in her window up the block from us with sad, hollow eyes. Only now, being a mom do I know her terror and pain. We all want an ending to give the family closure. I thought I remembered at the time hearing about some children playing in a laneway on Ash (one of them lived next door to the laneway) who saw her being taken away by someone. Did that ever pan out? What about the shed on Fortune? Do the police know who lived there at the time? How did we not look there when we looked everywhere else? We'll ask ourselves this forever.

They say to never judge a book by it's cover,,,,well Sharron your Angelic and Beautiful face was a shining beacon of what lay within you. It was a privilege to have known you and an absolute honor to have been your friend. I pray for your family Sharron. You and all of the wonderful years of love and laughter you gave me,will be forever Sharron, forever, in my thoughts and in my heart.....I remember how many nights we had to sit on your bed and wait for a special song that you loved to come on the radio before we could go to the boys and girls club, or the restaurant (Smoke gets in your eyes)................well it is almost 31 years since I have sat on that bed with you, and when I hear that song Sharron, I hear it for you girl, and boy oh boy, smoke gets in my eyes.........

When I was 5 years old and motherless, my next door neighbor started asking me to sit on his lap to watch tv. He was my best friend's father and he was a doctor, a radiologist at a family clinic. He started to touch my privates until he got caught by his wife with his hands under my skirt. He continued to live next door but never touched me again. I saw his wife the next day with two black eyes. I was 5 and was scared of my Dad so I never said anything and she never said anything either because I guess he threatened her life. The last time I checked he was still a doctor at the family clinic. The point I am trying to make is that these perverts are all around us and they continue to molest kids because they know that everyone minds their own business and they prey on kids that don't have parents, kids who are neglected so you should all try to help neglected children number 1 and if you have a brother, father, cousin, grandfather, whoever you suspect is acting inappropriately with kids, please do not pass the buck and think someone else will report the pervert, pick up the phone and call the police. Let's protect our kids.

I am really glad to see this web page. I remember this tragedy that happened so many years ago. I was also one of the volunteers who searched the point, since I was a pointer myself. I knew Sharron from the Boys and Girls Club. I now live in Cornwall, but always hoped that this case can be solved and the family can have peace.

I used to live in Montreal but moved to Edmonton 11 years ago I have never met the family of Sharron but came across this article and would like to leave a little saying. I am truely sorry to the family of Sharron I know what it is like to lose some one so close to you, at such a young age. All I can honestly say is just keep the happy memories alive that you all had together and never let them go for those are the things that keep us alive inside when tragity stricks. By deppessed sympathy to all.And just remember Sharron wouldn't want tears but happiness. God Bless All

MO, as we both know, God is with you and your family. I pray for closure for you and your family. May she rest in peace. Mo, I love you and I am there for you.

I did not know Sharron or her family, but I have a younger sister who was about the same age as Sharron at the time; we grew up right next door in Verdun and my younger brother played football for Leo's Boys probably before Sharron was born. I remember feeling so angry that one human being could do such things to another. This is a beautiful site and I sincerely hope that one day the authorities are able to find the person who did this awful thing and bring some closure to her family.

There is such things that happen to most beloved ones that no human being can understand. There is NO human word or action that can ever heal such deep pain for close family and friends. There is no human justice that is fair enough. But only God's justice is fair enough, only God's Love can heal. Sharron was explaning the real meaning of Easter just before she lost her human life, but whatever terrible, awful, bad and disgusting unfair work ennemy did, he or they never really got her at last, for as she had understood and believed, and even testimonied; it is written FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON FOR WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE (John 3;16) and as Jesus was dying because human beings hurt Him and killed Him so unfairly, Him who came to save them, He prayed; Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing? This site really testimonies of how much love Sharron sed on her path on this earth, how many living happy memories of her life remain forever in the hearts of all the ones she touched. Her life, even if it was way too short, really made a great difference for all the people who had the privilege to be close to her or even to know her. Father God, in Your Love, stronger than all evil, stronger than all pain, give to Sharron's loved ones the strenght that they need to keep walking by faith, revel them the answers that they need in their hearts so each one of them can accomplish what You have prepared for them in this life time until the day that they will reach You and find back Sharron for ever, Thank You God, in the Name of Jesus, Amen
