I think Sharon’s murder was the end of innocence for a lot of us in that age group growing up in the Pointe, for me it was the cold realizing that evil existed in the world. My twin sister and I shared the same class as Sharon’s twin sisters and I still have pictures with my brother and her sisters on the end of each row of students, like bookends, no doubt purposely done. The Pointe wasn’t the easiest place to grow up and if you weren’t street smart could be quite hostile, so when someone as warm and kind hearted as Sharon comes along , it leaves a lasting impression.
